The net was set about 30 m off the coast, and the turtle was entangled at a depth of about 5 m, but was able to surface for air.
Mr Lazarevic contacted the NETCET team at the Institute of Marine Biology, who examined the animal. Upon finding no external injuries, the young turtle was measured and then released back into the sea. Mr Lazarevic claims that it's been several years since the last time he saw a sea turtle in the Bigova cove.
The turtle's shell measured 27 cm in length and 25 cm in width, and the animal weighed around 3,5 kg.
